Did anybody see this? I think they followed the book well.

I had never seen this one until I bought it on blu-ray roughly two years ago. I loved it. A lot different than other portrayals of Dracula (probably because it sticks close to the book as Fang said) but in a good way. Creepy atmosphere, spectacular transformation of the great Gary Oldman into Dracula, and of course directed by the master Coppola. The only weak point is Keanu Reeves.
4.5/5

This along with the classic Bela legosi Dracula are the best vampire movies in my opinion.

It's a visual effects feast, but that's about all it is. Valued more for it's star power than anything inherent in the film itself.

I love this version of Dracula. It was romantic, scary in that "older movie style" way and full of drama and lovely scenes. It was tastefully done and really did follow the book very closely.

That's all well and good, and I certainly won't knock a film that does that, but it doesn't make it interesting for me to watch that kind of stuff.
