I am currently "trying" to read In Her Name: Empire by Michael R. Hicks, Industrial Magic by Kelley Armstrong, Dune, The Butlerian Jihad by Brian Herbert, The Drawing of the Three by Steven King and The Quest by Wilbur Smith. I say "trying" because it is difficult for me to read these days, thanks to a stupid medication I was on a few years ago that really messed up my brain.

How far are you in The Drawing of the Three. Is it good? Anything with the master Stephen King is good. The shinning is my fav King book, along with the Kubrick adaption with Jack Nicholson.

Ooo, Fangtasia, I have been thinking about reading those. Are they really good? Xч, my sister told me that they were the best books (the Two Towers series) that King ever wrote. However, I find myself not agreeing with her on that point. I am not saying they aren't good books, because they really are fascinating and completely different from most of his other works. However, *I* would not call them his best works ever. They are worth the read, though, if you can get hold of them.

I have heard that, which is why I haven't jumped in yet. I really....REALLY love the show, so I'm not sure if I want to mess with that just yet. Thanks, though! I think eventually I will check it out, maybe after the show has run the gamut and met it's cancellation.

Lafayette dies in the very first book.Thats one of the main differences.I wish they could have at least added a few key essentials from the book into the show though.
