Freddy appears and terrorizes a bunch of teenagers at a pool party in A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge.
Now, to some he appears invisible (as seen by some scenes, like when he jumped through the glass doors), but to others he is visible (as primarily seen when one kid approaches him to offer him help).
My question is this: What exactly happened? Did Freddy leave the dream world and enter reality? Was everyone sleeping, or was it all just one big hallucination by one of the characters?

But Freddy can't be in the real world unless someone pulls him out of the dream world...

IMO Freddy was never "visible" Freddy possessed Jesse,so the kids were really seeing Jesse not Freddy.
People thought Jesse was crazy,Thats the reason one of the pool kids wanted to offer him help.
We "the audience" saw freddy on screen because it looked cooler to see Freddy jumping through windows and all ...But everybody else including the pool kids saw Jesse "possessed".

You got a point there Xч. But how about the scene where freddy cuts himself out of jesse Why would he need to cut if he was posseing him
