The story revolves around the original creator of the Lament Configuration, a French toymaker named Philip Lemarchand, commissioned by Duc de L'Isle, a wealthy Aristocrat, master of the dark arts who wished to open a gateway to Hell in order to enslave a demon. The story takes place in 1784 France (Paris). It presents the story of the later Lemarchand/Merchant bloodline and their unconscious bond with the Lament Configuration, and a plot to create a new design, the Elysium Configuration, able to close the gateway opened by the first box and destroy the Cenobites.

I gave it a 4.......when I first saw it I would have given it a 3....but learned to enjoy it more. You see I read the Journals of LeMarchand.....before the movie came out....so when I saw the movie I was a bit taken a back......

I really enjoyed Angelic, for that i rate this film a solid 3. The back story was also really interesting. They should have just made the entire movie the back story instead of venturing out into space.

- I for the most part really liked bloodlines. The film provided a really good back story that explained a lot of questions the previous films left unanswered.Isn't there a directors cut somewhere?
- 4/5

I don't know if there is a Directors cut....but I have seen some deleted scenes online (the missing party scene with Angelique).. no SFX or CGI just rough scenes with notes
